Nationally ranked Denison too much for young Tigers in 4-0 NCAC victory

Granville, Ohio -- Denison, the top ranked squad in the Great Lakes Region and the fifth ranked team in the latest NCAA Division III poll, handed Wittenberg its third consecutive road conference loss.

The Big Red scored with just four minutes remaining in the first half to break the scoreless draw. They struck paydirt again in the second in the 58th, 64th and 90 minutes.

Denison outshot the Tigers, 22-6. Tiger freshman goalkeeper Jenny Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) recorded had six saves in goal for the Tigers, who now must win all of their remaining games, including this Saturday's difficult road test at Wooster, to have a chance to qualify for postseason play.
