Tiger Reserves Sting Cedarville With Big Win

Leslie Goodwin

Early in the first half, sophomore Leslie Goodwin put an early goal away. This was her first game back after suffering an ankle injury in preseason camp. The offense continued to play smart, aggressive and creative, which produced three more goals. Freshman Gracie Winzeler and freshman Mandi Clemons scored before halftime, and sophomore Sheryl Chambers rounded things with a tally in the final 45 minutes.
Wittenberg's defense stopped Cedarville from putting any goals in the back of the net. The defense was led by freshman goalkeeper Hannah Hoffman, who stopped any chances Cedarville produced. The defense and midfield triangles stayed connected during the game through fine communication.
The Tigers return to reserve action Sunday, Oct. 4, against Cincinnati State.
