SPRINGFIELD, OH-Wilmington College, ranked 7th in the Great Likes region, handed Wittenberg its 4th consecutive loss of the season.

Wilmington defender Sara Barnhart scored in the 15th minute of the match on a 40-yard blistering shot. The goal was unassisted.

Wittenberg battled, and came close on several occasions in the first half, but were unable to tie the game.

In the 78th minute of the match, substitute forward Rebecca Smith scored to give Wilmington a 2-0 lead.

Wilmington goalkeepers Michelle Hurley and Erin Wallace were forced to make only 4 saves in the match as Wilmington outshot Wittenberg 14-10. Wittenberg goalkeeper Cary Brown recorded 4 saves in goal for the Tigers.
