Tigers unable to hang on, fall to regionally ranked College of Wooster 2-1

Wooster, Ohio -- The College of Wooster rallied from a one-goal halftime deficit to put a serious hurting on Wittenberg's postseason hopes.

Senior midfielder Natalie Estep (Fairborn, Ohio/Fairborn) scored an unassisted goal midway through the first half to put the Tigers out in front, but the lead - Wittenberg's first in three games against some of the best competition in the country - was shortlived. Just 1:03 after halftime the Scots knotted the match on an unassisted goal of their own. Then Wooster took the lead for good about 20 minutes later on another unassisted goal.

Freshman goaltender Jenny Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) played well again, posting four saves in the loss. Still, the Tigers dropped their fourth in a row, all to regionally ranked conference opponents on the road, and probably fell out of contention for a berth in the NCAA Division III postseason tournament.
