SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tiger women's tennis team took the lid off the 2008-09 campaign against Division I opponent University of Dayton, falling 8-1.

Freshman Alexandra Cummins (New Lebanon, Ohio/Dixie) highlighted the day for the Tigers, claiming her first singles victory as a collegian, taking the sixth flight match 6-3, 6-0.

The match also signified the first match on the women's side for new head coach Justin Stuckey. His women will look to rebound next Saturday, September 27th for a pair of matches against Franklin College and Lewis University, played from Franklin College.
