The Tigers started off strong by sweeping the Oilers in all three doubles matches. Senior Allison Earhart (Muncie, Ind./Yorktown) and freshman Maggie Stewart (Bay Village, Ohio/Magnificat) teamed at the No. 2 position for a convincing 8-2 victory, while senior Kat Sundstrom (Trafalgar, Ind./North Central) and junior Sean Delaney (Powell, Ohio/Worthington Christian) won a tough one at the No. 1 position, posting a score of 8-6. Rounding things out, sophomore Jayne Miely (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and freshman Jackie Stevens (Columbus, Ohio/Watterson) rounded things out with a win at the No. 3 position.
The total team effort from the Tigers continued as the match moved into singles play. Wittenberg found victories in five of the six singles matches, coming at the hands of Miely, junior Emily Nash (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson), Sundstrom, freshman Alexandra Cummins (New Lebanon, Ohio/Dixie) and Stevens. The Tigers look to continue their domination as head to Hilton Head, SC, for their Spring Break trip.
