HILTON HEAD, S.C. - A doubles sweep proved to be the difference in the Tigers' first match on their trip to South Carolina, as the Red and White edged Marian, 6-3.

Senior-junior duo of Kat Sundstrom (Trafalgar, Ind./North Central) and Sean Delaney (Powell, Ohio/Worthington Christian) captured the No. 1 doubles flight, 8-3. In fact, the Tigers won handily in all three of their doubles affairs; 8-2 at the two flight and 8-3 in the third tier.

Sophomore Jayne Miely (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) enjoyed a successful outing as part of the No. 3 doubles team. She came back to cruise in the No. 2 singles position, topping her opponent 6-0, 6-3. One flight below, Emily Nash (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) faced more of a challenge but still prevailed, 6-3, 6-3.

The win evens up the Tigers record at 3-3 heading into a Tuesday, March 10, meeting with West Liberty State from Hilton Head, S.C.
