Contact: Marj Newman Office of Public Relations Office: 937-327-6111 For immediate release Written: Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998 CHAMBER ORCHESTRA CONCERT TO BE HELD AT WITTENBERGSPRINGFIELD, Ohio---The Wittenberg University Chamber Orchestra will present a concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 in Weaver Chapel on campus.Conductor Tom Kennedy, associate professor of music, has chosen two works for the concert "Three Pieces in Old Style" by Polish composer Henryk Mikolaj Gorecki and "Symphony No. 3 in E-flat" (Eroica) by Ludwig van Beethoven. The performance is open to the public with no admission charge. The University Chamber Orchestra and Symphonic Band invite instrumentalists from Springfield and the surrounding communities to join them in preparation for future concerts.
