Dear Wittenberg Parents,
Welcome to the Wittenberg family. By selecting Wittenberg , your student has taken the first step toward a rewarding higher education experience at one of the nation’s top liberal arts schools.
You probably already know about Wittenberg ’s numerous and varied programs. With strong academic programs, unique community service opportunities, study-abroad options, plus the opportunity to participate in a variety of arts programs and sports, Wittenberg prepares students to succeed on campus and off.
We can tell you firsthand about the willingness of the administration, faculty and staff to help students and parents, and about the welcome and openness of a friendly campus. We have enjoyed enthusiastic arts performances and sporting events. Most importantly, we have seen our children grow and excel as part of a vibrant campus community. We have had 5 children at Wittenberg and this fall our youngest joins the Wittenberg family!
As a new Wittenberg parent, you automatically become part of the Wittenberg Parents Association. It’s an organization that provides an open line of communication among parents, university staff and faculty. The Parents Association also supports the Parents Fund, which provides needed support for a wide variety of Wittenberg programs.
As co-presidents of the Parents Association, we invite and encourage you to become involved with Wittenberg . We hope you will join us for Parents Weekend, which is held every year. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and see the campus alive with students and activities. This year’s program is scheduled for Sept. 28-30th.
The 2006-2007 Parents Handbook is available online and is accessible from this web page. The handbook is a resource guide for parents and provides very important information, including department contacts, telephone numbers and the academic calendar. Staff members welcome your comments and questions.
Please feel free to contact either of us with any questions or comments you may have as your student’s first semester begins, or at any time in the future.
Sincerely,
Alan and Pam Stewart
Co-Presidents, Parents Association
