Issue 2: January, 2008
Dear Witt Parents,
We hope you and your family enjoyed some time with your student over the holiday break. We are excited to see the students return to campus and look forward to working with them to help them reach their goals. This month your student will begin to settle back into the routine of being a student. Fall grades will provide important academic feedback about how they managed their time and studies in the past and whether they need to reexamine their habits for the spring. The beginning of a new semester is a time for students to refocus and contemplate on what they want to accomplish. Encourage your son or daughter to take action early on to make the most of the spring semester.
At Wittenberg, we value our relationship with the parents and guardians of our students – you are important members of our community. The focus of this newsletter is to provide information about important deadlines and academic policies, tips for supporting your student, and information on programs and resources that will help you to coach your student to make the most of their Wittenberg experience. We look forward to communicating with you via this medium and want you to know that we are only a phone call or e-mail away if you need access to resource information to support your son or daughter.
Sincerely,
| Lisa Rhine Assistant Provost for Student Success & Retention |
Miguel Martinez-Saenz Assistant Provost for First-Year Experience |
