State Radio Coming To Get Out The Vote At Wittenberg

State Radio, a wildly popular band, is coming to Wittenberg to "Get out the Vote" on 30 October. Other Wittenberg talent will perform, too. The free concert is hosted by the College Democrats, Union Board, and College Republicans. It starts at 7:00 in the CDR. And it's free! Check out State Radio at www.stateradio.com.

Final Debate Party Wednesday

Wittenberg University College Democrats will host a final debate party Wednesday, 13 October in Ness Family Auditorium. Snack foods and drinks will be provided. The debate party will follow the Wittenberg Series debate between Jonah Goldberg and Peter Beinhart. To read more about that debate, click here.

Finally, Kerry Week, our seven-day salute to John Kerry, begins. Check out various places around the campus to learn more about the Kerry-Edwards team and how they will fix America.

Debate Party A Huge Success!

The Wittenberg University College Democrats sponsored a very successful debate party Thursday, 30 September. Nearly 100 students enjoyed the wonderful debate on two big-screen televisions. We enjoyed pie, cookies, and drinks while watching Senator Kerry easily overwhelm the president. We will host another debate party on Friday, 8 October. The location is TBA.

Andre Heinz, Claire Danes, and Rashida Jones Visit Wittenberg!

Andre Heinz, the son of Teresa Heinz Kerry, Claire Danes, star of My So-Called Life and Romeo + Juliet, and Rashida Jones, from Boston Public, visited Wittenberg for a political rally in support of John Kerry! They fired up the crowd of hundreds of students, faculty, and members of the Springfield community. To read more about the rally, check out the homepage for the Springfield News-Sun. At a rally with brother Chris, mother Teresa, and John Kerry, Andre is seen in the middle of the photo in Pennsylvania in the summer.

Kerry-Edwards Come To Springfield Again!

John Kerry and John Edwards returned to Springfield on Thursday. They shared their positive messages about job creation, stronger and more respected foreign policies, and better health care for working families and veterans.

Wittenberg College Democrats were scattered throughout Thursday's rally. Our president, Brendan Norman, and our marketing executive, Cole Downs, stood on stage alongside Senators Kerry and Edwards. Sean McKinniss shook hands with the candidates--and even had an ultra-brief talk with Senator Kerry! Brian Cataldi and other Wittenberg students volunteered by handing out tickets, preparing the stage, and greeting visitors. We were well represented at this historic event.
