DO GOOD

"Do Good" was the motto of the Delta Gamma founders. They would be immensely pleased by the work Delta Gamma's all over the world do in the name of the Delta Gamma Foundation through its widespread enterprises.

The Delta Gamma Foundation was incorporated in 1951, although a giant step toward the Foundation was made when delegates at the 1936 Convention expressed their desire for a united "altruistic project". At that time, alumni Ruth Billow (Eta - Akron), who was blind, read from braille text an impassioned plea that Delta Gamma adopt Aid to the Blind and Sight Conservation as a philanthropic project.

Today, the Delta Gamma Foundation has expanded its programs to include our international sight conservation organization, Service for Sight, as well as many scholarships, fellowships, and loans for students whose "scholastic work would bring distinction to themselves and to Delta Gamma"
