Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded January 13, 1913 on the campus of Howard University, by 22 illustrious women. These young women strove to establish more than a 'social' organization.  Members of Delta Sigma Theta are committed to the principles of sisterhood, scholarship, and service.  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is an organization based on Christian principles.  Programs and service events are guided by the Five-Point Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Involvement and Awareness, Political Involvement and Awareness, and Physical /Mental Health Awareness.
