Academics

Q: Wont joining a sorority hurt my grades??

A: No! In fact, Kappa Delta has high academic standards to ensure that sisters are putting their school first. We have sisters with a broad spectrum of majors and who are employed as tutors all over campus, providing assistance if you're struggling!

Our academic excellence program includes activities such as:
Study Parties: we have study parties as a house and in small groups to encourage working hard academically. Often a study party may just happen in the dining room!
Academic Excellence Workshops: these workshops help sisters learn new study techniques and habits, collaboratively create and monitor academic goals, and evaluate the chapter's academic progress
The "Skippy Jar": Sisters can enter their name into a drawing if they didn't skip any classes that week. Prizes are given to the name drawn and they are acknowledged at meetings!
The "Good Grades Fridge": Sisters put their name on the good grades fridge for achieving academic goals and are recognized at meetings!

The "Good Grades Shop": Sisters can trade in the points they accumulate from their study hours to get fun items such as Vera Bradley accessories
Scholarships!!: National Kappa Delta as well as many local alumnae chapters provide scholarships for sisters who go above and beyond the academic requirements!
