Pep band is open to any Wittenberg student, staff or faculty
member, so bring a friend!!
What is pep band all about?
Pep band is
an informal musical group that plays at university sanctioned athletic events,
particularly football and men's and women's basketball games. And by
informal we mean we're out to have fun! Aside from practices and games
we like to have a couple of socials throughout the year. Pep band is
a great way to make friends. We play lots
of cool music like Eye of the Tiger, Crazy Train, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Theme, and so many more. We provide the music, all you need is a flip
folder (and a lire if you desire). Thats right! A flip folder. We
do not require any memorization of music which is probably much unlike your
typical high school marching band events.
Uniform is pepband t-shirt or sweatshirt.
If no pepband shirt is owned, any red shirt is acceptable; particularly
a red Wittenberg shirt.
Pep band t-shirts are given out during practices or games. Please let
Strawn know if you are in need of one so
he can bring it to the next game or practice. Sweatshirts (hoodies)
can be ordered for only $10.
The design is identical to the current t-shirt. They are heavy-weight
and very warm.
Football season:
Game dates and times as well as practices can be found on the
schedule information page. We play at all home games and meet
an hour before game time in the blower room of the new gym.
Basketball Season (Spring Semester):
Because games are so frequent we will not be having scheduled practices.
Game dates will be listed on the schedule
information page as they are released.
We will be meeting in the blower room before the games.
All games are held in the new gym in the HPER Center.
