Role-Playing Guild

The Wittenberg Role-Playing Guild provides a community for those interested in games on campus ranging from board games and role-playing games to miniatures and collectible card games.
During the academic year we generally
  • On Friday Nights we run Role-Playing One-shots of a wide variety of Game Systems and genres
  • On Saturday Nights we run Board Games from our wide collection of board games, as well as card games and even the occasional miniatures game
  • Once a month we hold a General Open Guild Meeting, usually the first friday of the month
  • We also do group trips to local area gaming stores so we can check out what is new and maybe pick up a few things as well
  • Of course in March we hold our own Convention, WittCON!

General Guild Meetings: Will be held on the First Fridays of every month during the school year. The next general Guild meeting is November 2nd, 2018 at 8pm in Shovlin 201.

    Fate / Shadowrun
Fate Core: Grab your plasma rifles, spell components, and jetpacks! Name your game; Fate Core is the foundation that can make it happen. Fate Core is a flexible system that can support whatever worlds you dream up. Have you always wanted to play a post-apocalyptic spaghetti western with tentacle monsters? Swords and sorcery in space? Wish there was a game based on your favorite series of books, film, or television, but it never happened? Fate Core is your answer.
Shadowrun 5e:There are cracks in the world. They're slender, dark, and often cold, but they are the only things that keep you hidden. Keep you alive. They are the shadows of the world, and they are where you live.
You are a shadowrunner, thriving in the margins, doing the jobs no one else can. You have no office, no permanent home, no background to check. You are whatever you make yourself. Will you seek justice? Sow seeds of chaos? Sell out to the highest bidder? It's up to you, but this much is certain-if you do nothing, the streets will eat you alive.
    Scenario: Life on the Rez
    GM: Broseph D.

I like Shadowrun. I like the Fate System game mechanics. I smashed them together in a home brew and want to test it out. If you want to play a bioware enhanced street thug or mana-warping elementalist running mercenary missions for & against the mega corporations in a futuristic cyberpunk, dystopian, magic infused setting this is the time.

When magic came back, America split apart into several territories, with the Native Americans taking back much of the land that had once belonged to them. In Springfield and its environs the Tribes have flourished and relegated most colonizers (i.e. Europeans) who refuse to acknowledge the Council's authority to the war zone of Columbus, designating the area: The Reservation. Folks eek out a living their under the thumb of one Corp or another or leave the city into Tribal territory at their own risk.

    WEGS Old Skool
Dungeons! Dragons! Wizards! Whatever! Hankering for some good old sword-n-sorcery action? Then Old Skool is just what you need. Old Skool can handle whatever you can dream up. From dark dungeon crawls to frenzied barbarian brawls, this system delivers heroic action like no other game. With its brutally simple dice mechanics, this game dares players to push the action to its breaking point!
It's your fantasy - don't let rulebooks stop you!
    Scenario: WEGS Old Skool--HobGobble's Eve
    GM: Andy K. (Guild Primogen)

Spante up! WEGS Old Skool is a casino-flavored twist on the classic adventure game genre. It's a character driven, six-stat system that is fueled by four dice and a pile of poker chips! In WEGS, dice are elevated to their rightful place on the game table: the tumbling blocks of fate!

This adventure plunges a party of lost Arks into Trollspittle Swamp, a stagnant land that swarms with Hobgoblins after sunset. Worse yet, it's the night of the Great Hobgobbling Feast! There's nothing worse than being within sniffing distance of hungry, hungry Hobgob hunters and their vicious turkey-dragons! Will the party make it out of the swamp, or are they destined to be hobgobbled up?!
