Role-Playing Guild

The Wittenberg Role-Playing Guild provides a community for those interested in games on campus ranging from board games and role-playing games to miniatures and collectible card games.
During the academic year we generally
  • On Friday Nights we run Role-Playing One-shots of a wide variety of Game Systems and genres
  • On Saturday Nights we run Board Games from our wide collection of board games, as well as card games and even the occasional miniatures game
  • Once a month we hold a General Open Guild Meeting, usually the first friday of the month
  • We also do group trips to local area gaming stores so we can check out what is new and maybe pick up a few things as well
  • Of course in March we hold our own Convention, WittCON!

General Guild Meetings: Will be held on the First Fridays of every month during the school year. The next general Guild meeting is August 24th, 2018 at 8pm in Shouvlin 201.

Saturday Night Game Night * Weekly
    April 28th, 8pm-Midnight
    Shouvlin 205
Every Saturday night we gather to play various games from board games to card games to even other games. Feel free to bring your own games to play as well. You can also drop in at anytime during the event to play a game. The games listed below will definitely be available to play, but we will also have plenty of other games.

    Small World

In Small World, players vie for conquest and control of a world that is simply too small to accommodate them all.
Designed by Philippe Keyaerts as a fantasy follow-up to his award-winning Vinci, Small World is inhabited by a zany cast of characters such as dwarves, wizards, amazons, giants, orcs and even humans; who use their troops to occupy territory and conquer adjacent lands in order to push the other races off the face of the earth.
Picking the right combination from the 14 different fantasy races and 20 unique special powers, players rush to expand their empires - often at the expense of weaker neighbors. Yet they must also know when to push their own over-extended civilization into decline and ride a new one to victory!

    • Number of Players: 2-5
    • Ages: 8+
    • Play Time: 40-80 Minutes

    Formula D

Formula D is a high-stakes game of speed and danger for two to ten racers. Every game is a race between you and the other drivers that begins as soon as you shift into first gear on the starting line. Every turn you must choose how fast you will push your car, while you navigate the corners and chicanes that could send you skidding into defeat. Whether you race along the beaches of Monaco in sleek Formula 1 cars or take your place in a dangerous, high-speed street race, you'll need all your skill and luck to cross the finish line first in a game of Formula D.

    • Number of Players: 2-10
    • Ages: 14+
    • Play Time: 60 minutes

    Dead Of Winter

Dead of Winter is the first game in the Crossroads series, designed by Isaac Vega and Jon Gilmour. It puts 2-5 players together in a small, weakened colony of survivors in a world where most of humanity are either dead or diseased, flesh-craving monsters. Each player leads a faction of survivors with dozens of different characters in the game.

    • Number of Players: 2-5
    • Ages: 12+
    • Play Time: 60-90 minutes
