|Portrait of Gareth the Lawless|
My favorite part was getting everyone in the room to look at me while I shrieked, "WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?!"
at a high decibel level to two followers of Pelor who I was torturing on the altar of their own god, before
I blasted one's head off with an eldrich blast. Then, covered in blood and gore, I bounced along to join the
rest of my party looking innocent as ever.
I also liked when I met the drow lady and did my Saran Wrap impression as I clung to her leg for the
first half hour of the game.
Glindrain and I screaming at each other for an hour, while we tried to intimidate each other.
Glindrain and I riding the bell from the bell tower of the Administration Building, from the tower
to the tombs underneath the Administration Building.
Then, there was the administration office. Random shenannigans of two barbarians trying to find a small jewel
in a large building. Riding the bell to the bottom of the place...finding the random nice lady...
smashing up walls/floors...then, burning the whole place down afterwards.
"Betty", Glindrain's nice girl friend who later turns out to be a succubus. I also fell under her sway
just before she was killed.
Otok in an attempt to get through the "Only-the-good-may-pass-portal", rushes to a nearby hut and wakes
a little old lady and drags here to the portal.
He then ties a rope around the little old lay and pushes her through the portal.
He then tries to follow the rope through the portal but fails.
After Otok bounces off the portal and staggers back a bit, Glindrain lays a portable hole in front of the portal.
Glindrain then tosses a bag of holding into the portable hole. This proceeds to create
a portal to the Astral plane which tries to suck the players in, only managing to suck the little
old lady back through the "Only-the-good-may-pass-portal" and into the Astral plane.
Otok lets go of his end of the rope leaving the little old lady to float in the Astral plane where the
Githyanki find her.
-The Tales of Otok chapter 1 page 1 paragraph 2 (out of 3 whole paragraphs in the Tale)
And when the poor fools fed the old woman to the githyanki.
Otok having failed to get through the "Only-the-good-may-pass-portal," rushes off to another hut, where he wakes up a little old man. Otok skins the little old man and tries to put the little old man's bloodied skin on. Otok of course is over six feet tall while the little old man was barely more than five foot tall, so the skin doesn't fit quite right. Otok in his little old man "disguise" then tries to walk through the portal, but fails, again.
Getting nearly gored to death by a herd of unicorns.
Trying to enter the Grove was a fun experience. Otok, another Barbarian, raided people's houses, tied them up,
and tried using them as a bridge. Then, Glindrain sacrificed his Bag of Holding and the Drowess' Portable Hole,
as well as his glaive, to try to suck the entryway into the Astral Plane.
An old lady, one of Otok's victims and was currently tied in front of the grove, got fed to the githyanki.
Pax and I ended up wandering around together in situations where our sneakiness was practically useless.
We decided that we were like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern from Tom Stoppard's play
(two characters sitting around twiddling their thumbs until some plot device came in to sweep them along).
Like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, we also died pointless deaths after not really accomplishing anything at all.
PAx could tell you a lot more (and a better version) of the story.
The only fun story was Pax and I killing the old Oni man that was following me around asking annoying questions and begging.
I stabbed him, he died. Yay.
My favorite memory was Doc, Walgretta and I laughing our asses off for literally five minutes over
Doc putting a flaming bag of crap outside one of the official's door in the hall of much paperwork.
After watching almost everyone else in the party getting slaughtered in the tower, I figured it was easiest to
just surrender. Hey I'm not gonna complain about being given a place to stay and free meals.
The BIG RED BUTTON!
