Calamity at Dock 13

Early Sunday morning around 3am there was a calamity at the Dock 13. Apparently it was the result of a group of Supers stopping a major Russian crime syndicates shipping operations out of the dock. The Bureau of Super Heroes (a.k.a. B.o.S.H. or Bosh for short) did acknowledge sending a team of supers to the scene to investigate dock 13.

Bosh went on to state that the team included a few famous supers and a few new supers. The Borrower son of Wakinyen, the Green Stalker, That Kid, Zor along with new supers Circuit, Kibi and I/O. It was also mentioned that another new Super going by the name Strings was at the scene but did not take part in the investigation of Dock 13.

Bosh quickly stated that the incident at Dock 13 was not an attempt to kidnap the Borrower, son of the famous Wakinyen, nor was it a rescue attempt to rescue an already kidnapped Borrower, middle child of Wakinyen.

It was stated that the mastermind behind the operation was captured along with a bunch of goons and henchmen hired by the mastermind. The mastermind’s helper was not apprehended and managed to flee the scene. As is standard practice the final disposition of the mastermind, the mastermind’s name and power are being withheld. The same applies to the mastermind’s helper.

Withholding such information is standard practice by Bosh in order not to give villains any press. “The Bureau is not in the business of promoting villainy,” said John Smith, spokesman for Bosh. “If we were to release who it was that caused such troubles that would give other villains a reason to start causing troubles.” While Bosh releases the names of their Supers involved with such episodes in order to help promote good Supers.

In regards to not commenting on the status of captured villains, John Smith replied, “This is done to protect the rights of the villain. It is a legal issue that our team of Super lawyers has put in place to protect us from lawsuits. Sometimes I have to wonder who are scarier, villainous Supers or their lawyers.”

At the same time Bosh also does not comment on the exact events of the happenings Dock 13, or other such incidents. “Only in such cases as extreme heroism, or when the event took place in full sight of the public do we comment on the events themselves. This again is to protect the rights of those involved,” said John Smith.

But we can get some idea of the events based on the statements made by some of the goons and henchmen as they were brought into the local police stations. Since the goons and henchmen are not Supers they are turned over to the local police for detention and processing. It is from the statements they gave that we can piece together some of the happenings. In this case a translator had to be brought in for most of the statements as the majority of those brought in could only speak Russian. In fact all the quotes in this article from the detainees are actual translations.

“We were just working the night shift to unload cargo from a late arriving cargo ship. We were not doing anything wrong. Then all of a sudden there was some noise on the roof of the warehouse and the lights went out. Since we were behind in our schedule in unloading the ship we kept unloading in the light of the vehicles,” said one goon, who wished to remain unnamed for this article. “Shortly after the lights went out a huge ghost appeared at the door of the warehouse. Some of the weaker members of the dock crew fled at the sight of the ghost. While others like me of stronger will continued to work to get the job done, I’m a hard worker like that. Then the ghost started to sprout smaller ghosts and it then caused a loading truck to exploded, right next to me, at that point I figured I best get out of there before more things exploded.”

A security guard, who was brought in wearing a robe, through his translator had this to say about the incident. “Things were going as normal for the most part that night. There was a report of a green monster being chased on the far side of the warehouse from where I was stationed. All of a sudden this huge ghost appeared at the warehouse, it was big and look liked one of those ghost from one of my kids games at home. I admit being a spooked, but as a security guard I had to protect the others on the Dock, so along with the others opened fire on the ghost. It wasn’t until the ghost turned up next to me and took my uniform off me that I figured it was time to get out of there. The ghost stripped me to my underwear.” With that the security guard shivered and clutched his police issued robe tighter.

The few others in custody at this local police station corroborated the statements of the others. Some of the others refused to make any statements until they had lawyers present. Another mentioned the presence of a large turtle like dragon appearing in the flames of the exploded truck. Another mentioned being knocked out by something on the roof of the warehouse and thus not seeing much of anything.

I had to go to another police station to catch up with those who were detained from the ship that was docked at Dock 13. These were the ones who worked under the mastermind of the operation and most would not make statements until their lawyers appeared. Three of the detainees did mention, through translators again, that they are thankful for the green-winged person who saved them from the possessed boat.

“We were just overseeing the unloading of the cargo from the ship, when all of a sudden these Supers charged on board. Since I was not doing anything wrong I just kept working on unloading the boat, and watched as the headed to the cabin. Then all of a sudden the boat lurched as if it was trying to get away from the dock. It wasn’t until the mooring line snapped that I got worried. Then a green winged super showed up on the deck and shouted to come with ‘her’ to get to safety. I only was teleported in the second trip and ended up next to the Supers green moss covered van. And that was when…” At this point one of the crew poked him in the side and said something in Russian. The translator told me that the other crewman was telling him to shut up.

In response to the possessed boat Bosh stated that they have brought the boat in safely and it will no longer present a danger to shipping or people any more. They also said that Dock 13 will be out of service until the investigation and court cases against the owners of the Dock have been concluded.

So it appears that a new team has been formed by Bosh and it has made its debut with a bit of a dark of night show.
