At approximately 0800 this morning, we received a message from SG-12 who were helping the people of P3X-775. They had told us that they had met the Goa'uld Klorel.
He was, of course, the Goa'uld who took over Skaara's body.
I'll never forgive him for that.
I know, we're all upset with what Klorel did. But Skaara is safe on Abydos and without a Goa'uld controlling him. Klorel was removed from Skaara after the Tollan had a trial over whether or not he should have the right to involuntarily control the body of a host.

I saw the symbiote in a container after it was removed. Narim said that Klorel would be allowed to travel through the Stargate to a planet of his choosing.

Master Bra'tak reported that he was seen several weeks later on one of the planets under Apophis' domain. He was in a new host.
This was obviously the same host that Klorel was in when we saw him this morning. But that was nearly two years ago. Why did he wait until now to contact us?
Because we killed his daddy.
Klorel was referred to as "the son of Apophis" and he had a great deal of control over Apophis' army.
When we destroyed the hyperdrive on Apophis' mothership and made it crash into his main base on Delmak, we managed to kill Apophis, destroy most of his army and ship production facilities, and stop the Replicators from gaining a foothold in our galaxy.
With Apophis dead and most of his army and ship production facilities destroyed, Klorel would not have the ability to defend the vast empire that Apophis once controlled. Klorel's only option would be to submit himself to one of the other System Lords. He would not choose that option lightly.
Which would explain Klorel's request: he wanted us to help him defect to the Tok'ra and, as an act of good faith, was willing to give us a partially-completed mothership that Apophis was building.

That lying son of a...

Jack, I think we had to give him the benefit of the doubt. He said that Skaara caused him to have a change of heart and we've seen the Goa'uld be influenced by their human hosts before. I mean, imagine what that would mean to the Tok'ra if he really did want to join their side.
Clearly he had other plans. What exactly happened on your mission to meet him?
