The Terrors that Yet Slumber
Adventure Log: September 16th, 2012
NOTES
- Chicken Nugget tries to get into kitchen of the Tavern, but is refused because he doesn't have enough pleats in his hat. Instead he just
sits at the bar and orders chicken legs.
- Maximus VonWitt while drinking at the Tavern suddenly remembers he is owed 12 silver pieces by Sorean.
- Morgrym commiserates about his lost 2 gold pieces bounty, while keeping an eye out for his ex-wife.
- Sophia Magnicient stops by the tavern to pick up the taxes due to her. As she walks into the tavern, she spots the tavern owner
trying to sneak out the back. Sophia manages to catch the owner though. Sophia convinces the owner to pay the taxes with the help
of her assistant "Boris." She mentions the money seems a little short, which Chicken Nugget overhears, and asks if that was a remark
at his expense. Sophia asks who he his, and he replies he doesn't know because he is drunk. Sophia asks him to entertain her at her
table while she counts the taxes. Chicken Nugget walks with her to the table and just stands there drinking and eating a chicken leg,
while Sophia counts the taxes.
- Eliphas explores around the estate while Sorean talks to Elven dude
- Sorean, after her talke with her the Elven dude, she tries to use her Magic Sight to take a look around, and does not see anything. She
then decides to find a female servent to draw her a bath.
- Sophia after a bit asks Chicken Nugget his name again, but he still doesn't remember. Instead he points toward Maximus letting fly the
chicken leg in his hand, which lands on Maximus' plate. Chicken Nugget explains that, that guy knows his name. Maximus checks his
Karl-o-meter and decides it is time to head out of the tavern, he asks Morgrym to go with. Mogrym agrees and they both make a surruptious exit.
- Sophia asks Chicken Nugget what he does, and he replies that he is a chef. She asks him to cook something, to which Chicken Nugget pulls
out some broccoli from his bag, then he pulls some unidentified meat, and smashes them together under his mug. SMASHED BROCCOLI AND STUFF!
- Sophia asks what brought him to Altdorf, and he replies the cupcake championship prelims. After that she decides to leave the tavern.
- Chicken Nugget stays at the Tavern and falls asleep under one of the tables. Where is swept out in to the street at closing time.
- Chicken Nugget wakes up in the gutter, dusts himself off and walks right back into the tavern for a breakfast of eggs. He gets them cooked
in the style of the 14th pleat, and as he eats them he tries to figure out how they were cooked.
- Morgrym wakes and heads back to the tavern to get some breakfast as well.
- Maximus wakes up and meets up with some of his fellow wizards and heads to the High Elf district for some hoighty-toighty breakfast.
- Soraen orders up some bird's nest soup.
- While Eliphas forgoes the bird's nest soup and just has a simple wood elf breakfast.
- Chicken Nugget gets a chill up his spine, as Morgrym notices an elf in black robes "walk" in to the tavern. Walks or floats or something that
High Elves wish they could master as a means of moving. The elf smells of really expired food, or death. This prompts Chicken Nugget and Morgrym
decide that it is time to leave the tavern. Chicken Nugget finishes his eggs, and tries to sneak out, but instead is more jostled out of the
tavern by the rest of the crowd trying to leave as well. Morgrym though is stopped by the Elf who calls him "Friend" before he can leave.
The elf mentions Morgrym's missed bounty, which causes Morgrym to stop and not leave.
- The elf mentions he has a bounty for Morgrym, to which he agrees to listen to the elf.
- After chatting the elf, Morgrym leaves the tavern to find Chicken Nugget. Chicken Nugget is leaning on the horse tie-up waiting for Morgrym.
The two decide not to talk in the street and walk across the street and in through the first door that is open, which happens to be a fancy clothing
store. There Morgrym tells Chicken Nugget that the bounty the elf offered was to retrieve the sword from Sorean. He was offered 3 gold peice for
the bounty, but he decided not to take the offer just yet. As they talk, amongst the patrons of the clothing store, they spot Maximus walking
down the street. They both lean around the shop door, and try to quietly 'psst' to get Maximus' attention to bring him over to talk with him.
Maximus sees them, and joins them in the clothing shop, and is brought up to speed on the bounty.
- Sorean while hanging around the Elven estate is given a notice that Sophia has arrived to talk with her.
- ...Stuff happens...
