From June 24th to June 28th a group of Wittenberg Role-Playing Guild members traveled to Columbus to take part in the Origins gaming convention. This convention is the second largest gaming event in the United States.

You're in luck, because there are techniques that can help you get a mini looking good on the tabletop in a very short amount of time, and this class will show you how to do it. The class will be hands-on, with brushes and paint you can use. A mini will be provided to take with you from the class, or bring your own primed mini.

Humanity is manipulated by secret alien body snatchers and your heroes are just about to break into the maximum security facility to expose these alien conspirators when a player asks, "Where is the air vent?" If you don't know where the air vent is how can they save the world? Come learn the elements that make up Sci-Fi maps. Learn how to layout that long dark alley for the daring escape scene, plan your own city and have that alien mothership ready for those heroes to sneak onto. Information packet and CD of resources are provided to take home and refer to later. Come have some fun and we might make a Sci-Fi Cartographer out of you yet.

  • Long Description: Building on the result's of last years Origins game, the battle with Horus continues. Horus and his new Queen have escaped. They are traveling to the ancient home of Ra in search of hidden technology. From the guardians of the temple of Ra the SGC learn of powerful weapons locked away from the rest of the Goa'uld. The SGC must locate Horus, and attempt to free the human host who has become his new Queen before they can unleash any new horrors on the galaxy. Teal'c went missing at the end of the last battle with Horus. Rebel Jaffa must find and free Teal'c. During the convention there will be four 2 hour games for new and experienced players to both learn the rules and have fun with the Stargate universe. Also there will be 2 four hour games where the climatic battle comes to a conclusion. New and experienced players are welcome in any session.
