General Information

• The date for the convention is Saturday in March 19th, 2011 in the Shouvlin Center on Wittenberg University Campus
  [737 North Fountain Avenue, Springfield Ohio, 45501]
• Directions to Campus     PDF map of campus, Shouvlin is on the center-right of the map
• Registration starts at 11:00 am
• The fee is $5 for Role-Playing events and pizza 'n pop dinner. Sorry, lunch is not included, but there is a food court in the adjoining Student Center.
• The first gaming sessions start at 11:45am.

• There will be a costume contest through-out the convention, with awards being handed out at Dinner
• When you register please let us know you wish to participate in the contest
• The winners will be determined by ballot by those attending the convention during dinner at 7:30pm

Genre: Magic: The Gathering Slots: 24 Ages: 10+ Entry Fee: $2 Description: Choose two blocks (Urza block or later) and a Core set (Sixth edition or later) and build your deck from cards only from these sets. (Note, you must adhere to the block bannings.) Since this is a peasant tournament, the 75 cards in your deck and sideboard can consist only of commons and up to 8 uncommons. The entry fee for this event is $2.

(Former GuildMaster, 2006-2007) Genre: Crafts - Chain-Maille Slots: 6 Ages: All Description: Your characters wear it, maybe you've chanced to see it at the Renaissance Festival, but this WittCon is your opportunity to get hands on and see what it takes to make some maille of your own! I'll provide the tools, rings, and instruction, you just bring your patience. Small projects (bracelet, 4-in-1 necklace) or larger more involved creations (Dice bag, flower design necklace) will take at least a full 3 hour session- materials may to taken with you if you don't finish, so no worries. Genre: Board/Minature Slots: 4-6 Ages: 12+ Description: Eric Ebbs', one of our fellow Guild Members, will be demostrating three of his board/miniature game creations at WittCon VIII. So stop by and enjoy in one of these three creations of his, all games are first come first serve and will be run through out the sessions as long as people wish to play, and in all cases the rules will be taught. Ninja Nuttiness: Castle Edition (2-6 players) The Ninja Lords have deemed that the Shogun has gone too far with his treacherous plans and have ordered their best men to eliminate him. You play the part of one of many Ninja that must traverse the Shoguns keep and follow through with your masters will. Nazis on the Moon (2-4 players) At the end of WWII, Hitler escaped with a small band of Nazi soldiers... TO THE MOON! You as a recently war torn nation must begin your race to the moon to stop the nefarious Hitler from destroying everyone. Can you get your forces to the moon to stop him in time? Entropic Wars (2-4 players) Play as one of four nations building from the early stages of development. Each nation is working to survive impending war from the other growing nations. The only problem is that the Master Of Entropy (MOE) is watching over you. Prepare yourself for a fast-paced near strategy board game where the roll of the die can change the entire play of the game.

Kaiju Kaos: Clash of the Colossals Room: Shouvlin 105b (11:45am to 3:30pm) GM: Bryan "Stratos" Borgman Genre: 28mm sci-fi miniatures Ages: all Description: The year is 2015 and colossal monsters, called Kaiju and Kaijin, run rampant across the Earth. All Hell has broken loose thanks in part to the diabolical "research" of Dr. Kaos and his mysterious benefactors, the Beng-Arii Syndicate. Kaijin - those mythical creatures of folklore such as werewolves and cryptids like the Chupacabra and Sasquatch - are joined on the battlefield by Sinister Scarecrows, hordes of zombies, shambling Everfolk treemen, and much more. Dr. Kaos has also unleashed the Kaos Monster, cloned dinosaurs, gigantic gorillas and spiders, and other untold lab-created horrors. Kaiju Kaos: Clash of the Colossals is a special convention scenario using 12" tall classic Kaiju toys such as Godzilla, Gigan, and Mechagodzilla plus other gaming favorites like Cthulhu and the 5-Headed Apocalypse Dragon in a battle to dominate the tabletop.

Your goal is to cause havoc and mayhem. Will you survive or will the town prevail and kill the monsters that are invading? Experience with Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 is preferred.

A New World, Part 1 Room: Shouvlin 201 upper (11:45am to 3:30pm) GM: Andy P. Genre: Dungeons & Dragons 4e Slots: 6 Ages: 16+ Description: Players will create a new adventure setting with the DM from the ground up. Topics to discuss will include: geography, population, state of civilization, deities, alliances & feuds, dictatorships & democracies, & etc. This is only half of the game, though- in the second session the players will get to set out on an adventure in their new setting! 4e rules will not be taught (or needed) in this session.

Indiana Jones and the Treasure of the Templars Room: Shouvlin 203 (11:45am to 3:30pm) GM: Will H. Genre: Savage Worlds Explorer's Edition Slots: 5 Ages: 13+ Description: After much research, Henry Jones Sr. has made a great discovery: the Templars were not only hiding the Holy Grail, but also a "lost treasure" of even greater worth! But rumor of this treasure has also spread to the Nazis finding lost artifacts as part of Hitler's mad quest for power. It's up to Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Henry Jones Sr., Short Round, and Sallah to find the Treasure of the Templars and keep it out of the wrong hands! (Adapted from Triple Ace Games' Daring Tales of Adventure: Treasure of the Templars). Rules taught, new players welcome!

But, will they be willing to scuff their Manolo Blahnik greaves? And what color goes best with goblin blood? It looks like the life of the adventurer isn't as glamourous as it once appeared! (New players welcome--sense of humor recommended!)

(Patriarch to the Guild) Genre: DeathWatch Slots: 6 Ages: 14+ Description: A team of Techno-priests have made a big discovery at their excavation site. But before they could get it out them and their small contingent of Imperial Guards have come under fire from some unknown force. The Imperium has decided that the uncovered item is of enough importance to send in a team of Space Marines to secure the item. Your Kill Team is the closest group of Space Marines, so you are going to secure the item.

Genre: Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Slots: 8 Ages: 16+ Description: Your were hired by this town to vanquish the monsters that are invading. Your goal is to save the town. Will you survive or will the monsters prevail and kill everyone in the town? Experience with Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 is preferred.

A New World, Part 2 Room: Shouvlin 201 upper (3:30pm to 7:15pm) GM: Andy P. Genre: Dungeons & Dragons 4e Slots: 6 those who participated in the first half of the game will have preferential seating Ages: 16+ Description: The second half of the game wherein the players helped design the adventure setting. With a new world comes many opportunities for conquest, scouting, and investigating, but it all depends on how the players designed it! Conspiracies abound in big cities, ferocious beasts defend their homes as settlers push farther into the wilderness, or the staples of civilization are falling to ruin... anything can happen in a never before seen campaign setting! Pregen characters will be available or players could bring their own (depending on the setting the game will be either lvl 6 or 12). 'Essentials' builds are discouraged, 'standard' races (any from the PHB 1 or 2) are encouraged.

The Adventures of Coon and Friends Room: Shouvlin 203 (3:30pm to 7:15pm) GM: Chris S. Genre: Savage Worlds Superheroes Slots: 6 Ages: 14+ Description: South Park, Colorado... and the World needs your help. Play as Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Token, Timmy, and Bradley as superheroes from one of the premiere supers team to come out to the public in 2010. Expect lots of laughs as you and your party will fight and investigate what is happening to our world. Who knows what will happen? Savage Worlds is a gaming system that is easy to pick up and leads to lot fun. No experience is needed as rules will be taught on site.

Genre: Deadlands Reloaded (Savage Worlds) Slots: 6 Ages: Any Description: All aboard the San Juan Express, running non-stop from Little Rock all the way to Denver! Live in the lap of luxury, as you escort the ever-charming and cantankerous Sam Clemens all the way to the Mile-High City. Unfortunately for you, it looks like not everyone on board the train seems to like Mr. Clemens' trademark witticisms. Can your desperadoes keep ol' Mark Twain alive until he can get to the Wall Street of the West? And what's that weird smell coming from the back of the train...? Rules taught, new players welcome!

Chrysalis Room: Shouvlin 205 (3:30pm to 7:15pm) GM: Jules M. Genre: Call of Cthulhu Slots: 6 Ages: 14+ Description: Strapped for cash, you and five others volunteered for Project Chrysalis, a new sleep study at the local hospital. The doctors seemed nice, and the $6,000 they said they'd pay upon completion of the study seems like a massive windfall. There's really only one question that you're left asking, though: "Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?"

Genre: RPG Fellowship of the White Star campaign (FWS), DnD 3.5 ed d20 3 Slots: 0 Ages: 16+ Description: The Fellowship is investigating the history of Dr. Terry Monroe. They ask you to travel to an unknown location, and are unsure what you will find there. This is a challenge for people who can think on their feet, and quickly assess the unprecedented. An adventure designed for mid-level characters set in the Fellowship of the White Star setting of Earth, August 25, 1907.
