Fellow Gamers,
We had a great turnout at the Role Playing Guild meeting last night. But don’t worry if you weren’t able to come, you’re still more than welcome to join us for anything and everything the Guild will be doing.
Champion City ComiCon will be held in Shouvlin this Saturday (9/12) from 10 AM-7 PM. There will panels about comics as well as loads of vendors. Entry fee is $3 with a Wittenberg ID.
Because ComicCon is in Shouvlin, Saturday Night Board Game Night is moving to Bayley Auditorium in the Science Center for this Saturday (9/12) only. Next week, we’ll be back in the second story of Shouvlin. Feel free to join us any time from 7PM till Midnight.
After a close vote between wanting to see Pirates or Scottsmen, the Guild has decided that we are going to the Renaissance Festival on Saturday, October 10. That’s during the “Highland Games” theme weekend featuring Scottish culture and kilts. We had more than 15 people say they plan on coming, so we’ll be able to get the group discount for tickets.
There were a number of people interested in Magic: The Gathering, so we’ll have games at Saturday Night Board Game Night if people want to play. We’re also looking into possibly having a tournament at WittCon. More info on that to come.
We’re trying to have at least two one-shot Role Playing Games per month to try out new systems, to provide GM experience, and to give people who can’t commit to a full campaign a chance to play. Will H. is running a Star Wars D6 one-shot on Friday, September 18. Eric E. and Andy K. are planning an epic tier D&D one-shot as well, but haven’t picked a day yet.
Finally, if you’re interested in being part of a Role Playing Game campaign but didn’t get a chance to sign up, let the Game Master know since we’ll be starting games next week. More information about each campaign is on the Role-Playing Guild Sharepoint site, but I’ll quickly summarize each of the campaigns:
Well, that was a lot. If you read the whole thing, you deserve a cookie! Mmm… those sound good right now.
P.S. Just wanted to remind you again that Saturday Night Board Game Night is in Bayley Auditorium this week, not the second story of Shouvlin where it usually is. See you then!
