The Wittenberg SPS is designed for Physics majors and minors, and anyone who has an interest in Physics. We typically meet once a week to work on a project, see a movie, or plan a future event. SPS also takes about one field trip a semester depending on what Physics-related activities are happening in the area. SPS also keeps its members informed of research opportunities and internships, and encourages members to volunteer for tutoring and outreach opportunities. |
| The Wittenberg Chapter of SPS has been in existence since 1968. It has been recognized as an Outstanding Chapter three times: for the 1992-93, 1993-94, and 2003-2004 academic years. | |
| Recently, Wittenberg was granted a charter for a chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma, the national physics honor society. The first Wittenberg Sigma Pi Sigma members were inducted in May 2004. | |
